Nicobar Gp of Islands to recruit at the Soldiers post
under categories namely General Duty, Technical, Aviation & Ammunition
Examiner and Tradesman.
An open
recruitment rally will be held under the supervision of Headquarter Recruiting
Zone, Chennai to engage eligible candidates into the Indian Army. Rally will be
conducted in Port Blair on 20th October 2018. Candidates interested can register themselves
online provided they meet the requisite qualifications and fit the physical
standards prescribed for each category. Online application process will
commence from 7th October 2018 and last till 5th
November 2018. Selection of Candidates will be on the basis of Physical
Efficiency Test, Medical Examination and Written test. Complete details

Candidates applying for Soldier Jobs under General Duty must
not exceed the upper age of 21 years, and for rest of the posts applicant must
be below 23 years as reckoned on 01-09-2018.
Educational Qualifications for Army Recruitment Rally Andaman &
Nicobar Islands ARO Chennai Soldiers Recruitment
Candidates seeking Soldier
jobs under Indian Army must possess following qualifications:
Soldier General Duty: Passed 10th class with at least 45% marks as aggregate or 12th
class with aggregate equal to 33% marks.
Soldier Technical: Passed 12th class with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics),
having secured 50% marks as aggregate.
Soldier Aviation & Ammunition Examiner: Passed 12th class with Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects or have secured three years diploma
in any discipline of Engineering.
Soldier Tradesman: Passed 10th class/ITI Diploma in the concerned trade.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed on a proposed salary of
Rs. 20,200/-

2. Physical Fitness Test: Candidates
will be put through following activities at Rally site:
i) Running Test: 1.6 Km within 5mins 30secs
ii) Pull ups: Between 6 to 10 (Marks accordingly)
iii) 9 Feet Ditch: Qualifying
iv) Zig-Zag Balance: Qualifying
3. Medical
Examination
Candidates qualifying the Physical Fitness Test will be put
through a detailed Medical Examination.
4. Written
Test (Common Entrance Exam)
A Common Entrance Exam will be conducted for all cadres based
on syllabus as per the educational standards prescribed for the post.
