Geologist: Candidate
must have completed Master's degree in Geological Science/ Geology/ Applied
Geology/ Marine Geology/ Mineral Exploration/ Geo Exploration/ Engineering
Geology/ Earth Science from a recognized university.
Geophysicist: Must have qualified MSC in Physics/ Applied
Physics/ Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics from a recognized
university.
Chemist: Must
have Completed MSC in Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Analytical Chemistry from a
recognized university. or post Graduate diploma (min 2 years) in the respective
discipline.
Junior Hydro
geologist: Must have
completed Master’s Degree in Geology/ Applied Geology/ marine Geology from a
recognized university. Or Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology from recognized
university.

Age Limit for Geo Scientist and Geologist Examination of UPSC Group ‘A’ Recruitment 2019:
Candidate Age limit should
be between 21 years to 32 years as on 1st January- 2019.
For Junior Hydro geologist
(Scientist B) age limit is 18 years to 35 years.
Age relaxation will be
available for SC/ST candidates is 05 years, 03 years for OBC candidates and 07
years for Government servants.

Application
Fee for UPSC Geo Scientist/ Geologist Combined Competitive Exam 2019:
Application fee for general/ OBC candidates is Rs.200/-
deposit through SBI branch by cash or using net Banking/ Master card/ Debit
card/ Credit card.
‘’Pay by cash’’ mode option will be deactivated by 15-04-2019 at 23.59 Hrs.
Last date to deposit through online mode is 16-04-2019 by 18.00 Hrs.
There is no application fee for Female/ SC/ ST/ PH
candidates.
