SSC, Permanent Commission Recruitment: Online Application forms are invited by Indian Air Force
Meteorology Branch for the courses commencing from January, 2018 for grant of
PC/SSC (Permanent Commission/ Short Service Commission) in Non technical
ground
duty branch. Interested candidates may visit Official Website of

due date of 17th February, 2017. Selection Process will be through 2 stage
process. Stage 1 is Intelligence test along with PP & DT will be held on
1st day. Stage 1 is screening test and only who pass in this test will go for
stage 2. Stage 2 consists of Psychological, Group tests and interview which

Qualification for Commissioned Officers of Indian Air Force:
Educational Qualification for candidates
must be post graduate degree in science or statistics or mathematics or
computer Applications or geography or Applied physics or environmental science
or oceanography or agricultural Meteorology or Meteorology or geophysics or
ecology & environment or environmental biology with atleast 50% of
aggregate marks.
Age Limit for IAF Permanent Commission, SSC:
Minimum age limit for all category
candidates is 20 years and maximum age limit is 26 years as on the date of 01st
January, 2018. Candidates below 25 years of age should be unmarried.
Scale of Pay for IAF Meteorology Branch Recruitment:
1. For Permanent Commission, SSC Scale of
Pay is Rs.15,600/- to Rs.39,100/- per month with military service pay, grade
pay, dearness allowances, transport allowances and maintenance allowances.
2. For Ground Duty Non technical branch,
Scale of Pay is Rs.68,550/- per month.
Height and Weight for IAF Meteorology Branch Commissioned Officers:
1. For male candidates minimum acceptable
height is 157.5 cms.
2. For female candidates minimum acceptable
height is 152 cms.
IAF Meteorology Branch Permanent Commission, SSC Selection Process:
Commissioned Officers Selection Process will
be through 2 stage process. Stage 1 is Intelligence test along with PP & DT
will be held on 1st day. Stage 1 is screening test and only who pass in this
test will go for stage 2. Stage 2 consists of Psychological, Group tests and
interview which will be held on subsequent 5 days. Candidates will be called
for testing at Mysore or Dehradun or Varanasi or Gandhinagar or Kancharapara.
There is a medical exam also which will be held at IAM Bengaluru or AFCME New
Delhi. The courses commencing from January, 2018.
