c) Questions will be given from Modern History of India from 1857 onwards, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Indian Culture, Geography of India and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

Mains Examination Pattern for HP PSC 2018 Naib Tehsildar Jobs:

Mains exam consists of 4 different papers.

1. General Knowledge and Current Affairs(Time 2 hours, 100 Marks)

2. General English(Time 1.30 hours, 50 Marks)

3. English Essay(Time 1.30 hours, 50 Marks)

4. Hindi(Time 1.30 hours, 50 Marks)

For General Knowledge Syllabus is same for Prelims and Mains Exam.

For General English-Questions will be given to know the candidates proficiency in English.

For English Essay Paper-Translation of an English passage into Hindi.

For Hindi Paper-Explanation of Hindi passage in Prose and Poetry in the same language and Composition (Idioms, corrections etc.).
