Educational Qualifications for UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2020:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelors degree in Agriculture.

Age Limits for Indian Forest Service Recruitment 2020:

The candidate's age limits as on 01-08-2020 21 years to 32 years. The candidate must have born in between 02-August-1988 and 01-August-1999.

Up to maximum of 5 years of age relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates and up to 3 years of age relaxation is given to OBC Candidates.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus for UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination 2020:

Preliminary Examination consists of Two Parts.

Part 1 consists of 200 marks and Part 2 consists of 200 marks. Each paper having duration of two hours.

•        History of India and Indian National Movement

•        Indian and World Geography‐ Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.

•        Indian Polity and Governance‐ Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

•        Economic and Social Development‐ Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social

·         Sector Initiatives, etc.

•        General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio‐diversity and Climate Change ‐ that do not require subject specialization.

•        General Science.

Paper 2 Civil Services IFS Prelims Examination Syllabus:

•        Comprehension

•        Interpersonal skills including communication skills;

•        Logical reasoning and analytical ability

•        Decision making and problem solving

•        General mental ability

•        Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation
